Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer Review

Pretty much everyone and their mothers have heard about this primer. Undeniably a YouTube favorite but does it live up to the hype?

Just to give you a little background information about my skin, I have combination/oily skin. I typically like primers that fill pores and help foundation grip on. When I have dry patches on my face, I typically treat them through chemical peels and skincare. In that sense, I use skincare products as my “hydrating primer.”

I find that this primer feels quite heavy and thick. It does absorb into the skin after a while, but a film-like feeling still remains. I don’t like being conscious of having a full face of makeup on, especially in the summer, so I can’t say I like having this on. I also find that it can be a little difficult to pair with other products. You might not want to pair this with your silicone-based foundation as it may start to pill. I find this primer pills more than any of my other primers or products, so just keep in mind to see if your products are compatible before you do a full face. I will give it props for making my skin feel plump, but overall, it’s just too heavy for me. Maybe those with dry skin will like this, but I’m not sure it does anything a good moisturizer can’t. Unfortunately, it’s a pass from me.
