BLACKPINK Jennie’s 2022 lens of choice
Just a quick disclaimer, OLENS Global did send me these for review purposes, but all opinions are my own and were finalized after first-hand experience using these contact lenses.
My box arrive a bit creased, but this was not the fault of OLENS. The package itself arrived quite heavily damaged, and it was clear that it was due to the negligence of the shipping company. Thankfully, because of how sturdy the actual lens packaging is, there was no damage to the lenses themselves or any leakage.
If you’re a fan of BLACKPINK’s Jennie, you’ll love this collection. The OLENS Real Ring line is one of Jennie’s top picks out of the entire brand, and I can see why. The design of this line blends in seamlessly with the natural eye yet provides the perfect amount of subtle detail to evoke a cool and chic look, which is exactly what Jennie embodies.
OLENS offers variations within their collections to make its lenses comfortable to a wide number of users. For example, their major collections have both a one-day option and a 30-day option. The variations use different materials to create a more pleasant experience for those with more sensitive or drier eyes.
The OLENS Real Ring collection currently comes in the one-day option, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see the release of the 30-day version later down the road. The one-day option is made of puscon material, which is the safest material used to make OLENS contact lenses. Puscon is a biomaterial that has been proven safe to insert into human bodies for artifical hearts and blood vessels, and is the safest contact lens material to wear. The hydrophilic moleular structure keeps eyes moist up to six hours a day. Puscon prevents protein and foreign substance disposition by forming a solid hydration shell, making the overall experience that much more comfortable. It also blocks harmful UV rays from the eyes when in use.
The Real Ring one-day lenses come in a pack of ten individually packaged lenses (five pairs). The graphic diameter measures 12.5mm, and the base curve is 8.7mm
The packaging is as thoughtful as always. I appreciate that all the pertinent information regarding manufacture and expiration dates, prescription, recommended length of use, color, etc. are listed out on both the box packaging and the actual lens packaging. It makes it easy to keep track of that each lens is even without the outer box and promotes eye safety. The clear packaging makes it easy to see what each lens looks like before opening.
The Real Ring collection comes in two color options: gray and brown.
As someone who is warm-toned, I personally find myself gravitating towards the brown lens, but I can see how beautiful the gray color would look on someone who more cool-toned. Even in the photos of Jennie above, as much as I think she looks stunning in both colors, I have to admit that I’m loving the gray on her a bit more. The gray Real Ring lenses give such a naturally chic vibe to her overall look. As it’s currently summer, I’m personally leaning towards the brown color on myself, but I’ll certainly be revisiting the gray color in the winter when I think I can pull off the cool look a bit more easily.

I found these lenses to be very comfortable to wear for a long period of time, and that’s coming from someone who typically doesn’t wear contact lenses often. They’re also on the natural side in terms of style, so I can see these being a daily choice for those working in an office and want to elevate their appearance in a subtle way.
