You can’t just manufacture a product in Korea and call it Korean skincare when nothing else about the brand or product has anything to do with Korea. Change my mind.
Is it just me who gets a little irked seeing brands slap the label of “Korean skincare” on their products when neither the brand nor product has anything to do with Korea other than that it was manufactured there? For example, if an American brand designs an eyeshadow palette and sells it mainly in the American market but manufactures it in China, does that make it Chinese makeup? Just saying.
Anyways, my friend gave me this sheet mask to use after she bought a bunch online. I love how compact the packaging is, making it perfect for travel size-wise. This product claims to sooth skin and increase the appearance of moisturized, firmer-looking skin. It features green tea extract, coenzyme Q10, salicyclic acid, and hyaluronic acid for intense moisture, firming and anti-aging.
There is a scent with this sheet mask. It’s not bad, but there’s something off about it that I can’t put my finger on. It’s not too noticeable once on the face though! The sheet is a little on the stiff side, making it a little difficult to lay down. There’s quite a bit of overlap and lifting that happens.
The essence takes a bit of time to absorb into the skin. It leaves behind that jelly oil layer, which doesn’t feel heavy, thankfully. It does, however, feel very thick and oily to the touch. Although I’m not really into the oily finish, I have to admit that it provides a good amount of both hydration and moisture. Still doesn’t make it Korean skincare though.
