Yadah Soothing Jelly Pack Review

As the weather gets hotter, let’s make sure to keep our skin happy and hydrated.

This jelly pack contains 33 mL (1.11 fl. oz) of product and claims to contain a “highly condensed soothing essence that penetrates perfectly into the skin in 20 minutes.” The key ingredients are Opuntia ficus-indica (prickly pear cactus) extract (5,000 ppm), Aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf extract, and Bambusa vulgaris (common bamboo) extract. I’m a big fan of bamboo extract for hydrating, so I have high hopes for this jelly pack. This product utilizes a thin, natural cotton sheet with “outstanding adherence and absorption factor which reduces skin irritation… to instantly soothe and hydrate flushed skin.” Yadah also notes that this product is safe for sensitive skin and the highly concentrated jelly essence does not run down the neck.

Taking a look at the packaging, I think it’s quite cute with the bubble letters and cactus drawings. The light blue color scheme adds to the refreshing summer theme, which I think is fun. Love the design, but the real question is if the product inside is just as nice.

One last note about the packaging is that I found it kind of funny how it indicates to open at the corner but the little notches to tear the package open run along the side. It doesn’t take away from the product at all, but I just had a little chuckle to myself when I noticed it. Just me?

As you can see, the essence is quite thick as it claims to be. The is a lot of essence inside the package, so there’s plenty to apply on both the face and other parts of your body. If you’re familiar with the consistency of aloe vera gel, this feels really similar except the effects feel longer lasting. This water-based essence just soaks right into the skin and hydrates like no other. Even when I apply a super thick layer, my skin soaks all of it right up.

I recommend keeping this jelly pack in the refrigerator until use to amplify the soothing effects. While this product is soothing, it isn’t cooling. Keeping it in the fridge until use will help make this product feel even more refreshing after a long day under the blazing sun.

I highly, highly recommend this mask for hydrating your skin. My skin loves it, and I can see lasting visible effects after use. One way I can tell is from the back of my hands. Usually, the back of my hands have very visible red splotches all over due to dehydration. If I apply a moisturizer or lotion, the redness goes away for a while but will come back after some time. As I tested the Yadah Soothing Jelly Pack, I applied the remaining essence on my neck, arms, and hands. Even after more than 15 hours, there are no red splotches on the back of my hands. I can both feel and see the hydrating effects from this mask. I cannot recommend it enough.

By the way, check out my blog post on hydrating vs. moisturizing! As this mask is a hydrating jelly pack, you’ll find the skincare information in that post quite helpful and relevant.
