Hi, friends! As promised, here is the second post of the day! In this post, I will be reviewing the Little Red Riding Hood palette from Storybook Cosmetics.
Storybook Cosmetics makes really unique palettes in that they are all designed to resemble a book. The packaging is stunning, and I absolutely adore the concept. Since it resembles a small, thick book, I wouldn’t say this is the most space efficient for travel, but it is such a beautiful vanity or shelf piece.
The palette opens up to reveal a quote by C.S. Lewis above the mirror and six eyeshadow pans. There are three mattes, two shimmers, and one satin. The shadows are very soft, smooth, and pigmented.
I think I prefer the colors of the mattes and satin in this palette although the quality of the shimmers are really nice. I was hoping the red shade would be a vibrant, bold red but it is more of a light watermelon shade. It’s still pretty though!
This was the first Storybook Cosmetics product I have ever tried, but I was quite happy with how it performed! The smooth, pigmented shadows allow for easy application on the eyes. To top it all off, the packaging is so incredible beautiful that I also want the green one to display on my desk. I’m quite pleased with this one!
