I got a few of these sheet masks as free samples while shopping at the Skinfood store in Sinchon, South Korea. Honestly, the Skinfood store in Sinchon hands out the best and the most samples. I’ve gotten so many makeup wipe packs, sheet masks, and other makeup samples from shopping there. I’ve even gotten a full bar of soap before! If you happen to be shopping for Skinfood products in Seoul, the Sinchon store is the way to go. This branch is just super generous with its samples.
Skinfood actually has an entire Premium Lettuce & Cucumber Watery line. I haven’t tried any products from this line, so I’m excited to test this one out. This mask is said to be cooling and soothing through the use of lettuce and cucumber extracts as well as cucumber water to hydrate the skin.
Upon opening up the packaging, my immediate thought was that this product smells just like the Skinfood Rice Brightening Facial Cleansing Tissue. I know this because I received so many of these cleansing tissue packs as free samples from the Sinchon store. I think they usually gave me two packs with most of my purchases, but one time, they gave me three or four along with a bunch of other samples on a large purchase.
This mask is extremely cooling throughout use, so it definitely lives up to its cooling claim. It did feel ever-so-slightly stinging by the corners of my nose where my skin can be a little raw at times, but the stinging stopped after a few minutes. I think the stinging was possibly due to the extreme cooling sensation being a little too much for that particular area. It was just a slightly uncomfortable sensation that went away after a few minutes. The rest of my face felt completely fine.
It soaks completely into the skin with ease, leaving it soft, supple, and smooth. It provides a good amount of hydration to the skin as well. All in all, I’m quite happy with this watery mask! It helps your face stay cool even after removing the sheet, making this mask an excellent option for those hot summer days.
