What’s better than starting my day with a hearty breakfast prepared by my grandma?
Breakfast was delicious! After eating, my mom and brother took a nap, my grandma went to church, and my grandpa was in his office so I just lounged around. Remember the fried chicken we were supposed to eat? My grandma came home after church with a bag of fried chicken and rice cakes.
Apparently there was a long line of people at the fried chicken stand. I can see why since the chicken was Tasty! It came with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce and some pickled radishes in vinegar as a side dish. After eating, we headed to the bus terminal in Seosan again to go to Hongsan, where my aunt lives, so we could go shopping together in Cheonan. The bus terminal has so many vendors and snacks.
The bus ride once again proved to have nice views of the country.
The bus terminal is connected to a store called Lotte Mart. Lotte is a big company in Korea that has everything from stores, snacks, fast food chains (lotteria), and an amusement park (Lotte World). Lotte Mart is basically a superstore with everything from clothes, toys, food, you name it. we met our aunt outside the store and from there we rode her car to the mall in Cheonan called Moda outlets.
The mall had several floors and had things from home goods, clothes, restaurants, and a cinema. A lot of sales were going on, and you know I love sales! After shopping, we went to grab dinner with my aunt and her daughter. We spotted a huge rainbow on the way there. The picture doesn’t even capture a quarter of the rainbow.
The restaurant we went to eat at is called Baeknyeon gyodong jjampong.
My mom ordered jjampong, a spicy seafood noodle dish.
Everyone else ordered jjajangmyun, which is a black bean noodle dish.
We also ordered a medium sized plate of tangsooyook, which is fried beef covered in a sweet pineapple sauce, vegetables, and sesame seeds, for everyone to share as a side dish.
When we got back home, I was exhausted. Can’t wait to explore the big city of Seoul tomorrow!
