Sephora Play! July 2016 Unboxing

Hello!

I purchased my first subscription box this month, and I’m really excited to share it with you all today! You might be wondering why I’m posting this so late, but my answer to that is I’ve been traveling Europe this past month (photos to come!), and I just recently arrived back in the States to unbox this Sephora Play! box. Sephora Play! is a monthly subscription service that costs $10 a month, and you get five deluxe-sized products plus a fragrance bonus with every monthly box. I’m really excited to share my box with you all today so without further ado, let’s get unboxing!

The Sephora Play! box features their signature black and white stripes design with the Play! logo. The box also has sephora.com/play written across, which is where you can subscribe for the box if you’d like to as well. I find the tape having equal stripe size with the box itself is pretty neat!

Upon opening the box, you get a card indicating the theme of the month, which in this case is effortless summer. You also get a smaller card attached that you can take into Sephora stores and get an extra 50 beauty insider points with any purchase, which can be used to redeem deluxe-sized beauty products. If you redeem two months of extra 50 bonus points, that’s already a free sample! Note that the pass expires at the end of the next month so make sure to redeem the card as soon as you can!

On the back of the extra beauty points pass, you also get a list of the products received in the box and the cost of its full-sized counterpart.

The effortless summer products came housed in a fabric drawstring pouch featuring a Popsicle and kiss mark print with #SephoraPlay written underneath. It’s not really my aesthetic and I don’t know if I’ll find a use for this bag, but it’s a nice addition to the box.

With each Sephora Play! subscription, you are asked to fill out a questionnaire regarding your beauty preferences and concerns so that the products you receive are tailored to you. In my box for the month of July, I received the following:

I’m really excited to try these products out! I’ll probably test out Dew the Hoola, the Wave Spray, the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer, and the Blotterazzi. I’ll probably save the Face Cleanser and the Blendercleanser sample to use when I’m travelling. I tried out the Citrine fragrance, and the scent is good! The scent is reminiscent of other designer fragrances. I’m thinking Versace Bright Crystal but slightly mellower. I’m also thinking Marc Jacobs Dot, but I’m not too sure as it’s been years since I got a whiff of Dot.

All in all, I’m excited for my Sephora Play! subscription, and I think I got a good box! I’m bummed I missed out on last month’s box because I wanted to try out the Becca Backlight Priming Filter, but that’s alright. Can’t have everything, you know? Thanks for unboxing this Sephora Play! box with me, and let me know in the comments below if you’re also subscribed to Sephora Play! or would like to be! Also, if you’d like updated thoughts from me on each of the products, let me know and I’d be happy to do so. Last but not least, let’s celebrate for the new website domain! Loriboriii.wordpress.com has officially been updated to loriboriii.com!

Thanks for reading, and I’ll see you in the next post! Have a lovely day!
