Large pores, excess sebum, and blackheads have been some of my biggest skin problems for as long as I can remember, so an oily girl like me can really benefit from the effects of clay masks.
“Canadian Clay Pore cleanser is made with micro-particles of natural glacial marine soil, colloidal clay from West Coast British Columbia, Canada and carbonated water ingredients. This intensive pore mask instantly absorbs and cleanses away trapped dead skin cells, excess sebum, wastes, blackheads, and even makeup inside pores without any irritation or pain. It also minimizes enlarged pores, lifts up sagging skin, and evens out skin texture leaving skin clean, refreshed, and vitalized!”
Sounds pretty good, right? I had always been keen on trying this particular clay mask out for myself, so I bought this back in Korea in a set that came with a brush. I’m a fan of the curved brush handle as well as the dense brush head; however, one con is that the bristles can feel a little prickly. I would say to skip this brush even though I love everything else about it. It can be a little painful on the more sensitive areas of the face.
The mask itself has a gentle tea tree-like scent to it. It has a light, whipped consistency that makes it easy to spread across the face. When rinsing it off with the aforementioned brush, it suds up a little bit and rinses off easily due to the smooth, whipped texture.
Although I love the benefits of clay masks, I don’t use them often because they can be a hassle to remove and make a mess in the sink. The Neogen Dermalogy Canadian Clay Pore Mask’s light texture makes it easy to both apply and remove the mask. I also find that this product doesn’t feel as drying as some other clay masks. My skin feels clean and refreshed after use with a quick application and removal process. This is a mask I would consider repurchasing!
