A few weeks ago, I shared my collection of earrings and the personal meaning behind my piercings . I didn’t share any of my newer earrings in that post since it was already getting quite long. Here are the latest earrings I’ve added to my collection within the past few months.
I’m trying out a different formatting style today with a slideshow. Please let me know if you like this format or if you prefer a longer post with individual images. Thank you!
These two are from Wingbling. I bought both from Olive Young Global. The prices are slightly higher than typical Korean earring prices but still affordable. I love the soft gold paired with the translucent, sea glass-like petals. I wish the moon pair came with two drop backings instead of just one, but the pair is still very cute. I got this pair from YesStyle. As I mentioned in my previous earrings post, I love moon motifs. The asymmetry really makes this pair stand out, and I love the accents of dark blue. I think the dark blue goes well with the moon motif and really makes these earrings a great choice for an elegant evening. Another asymmetrical moon motif pair from YesStyle, this particular one is definitely a little outside my comfort zone in terms of the big statement pieces but I really love how they look. One of the rhinestones came detached, so I have it set aside to glue back in later. The remaining earrings I bought from Gmarket. I love the opalescent look of this sun motif style. I can’t wait to pair it with my other celestial earrings. The all-gold flower is made of a very bright yellow gold, but I think it’s still a nice addition to my small collection of gold earrings. Rose gold is still my everyday preference, but there’s something very refreshing about yellow gold that rose gold just doesn’t have. I got both the rose gold and yellow gold options for the first pair, but the other two only had gold options. I feel like the simple white flower with gold center will match easily with other earrings. I absolutely love the jade heart one with the pearl drop. I wish there was a rose gold option so I can match it with my other everyday styles, but I think yellow gold really does look the best against the gorgeous jade green and white pearl. A simple pair of white florals with a gold center. I like how the petals have a pearlescent finish with line and overlapping details. Plus, the gold center actually has some shape to it versus a basic circle. Another pair of florals, these are stud-type earrings with a shiny, all-gold appearance. I love the line detailing and 3D shape; I think they really add to the look. Probably not something I’d wear on a normal day, but I think these would be cute for a beach vacation. More gold floral studs but these are ones I would actually be likely to wear casually, whereas the previous pair I most likely would not. I think the asymmetry of the petals is so fun, and the asymmetrical, freshwater pearls really add to the whole look. The pearls are fake, but they don’t look cheap. A pair of small yet elegant, teardrop earrings. I think these would really elevate a winter outfit. I like how these are dainty enough to wear to the office but still make a statement with the details and individual elements. I don’t think I rock small studs in my first lobes very well, but these provide just enough of a drop element with the teardrop crystals to be within my comfort zone. It might be a little hard to tell from the picture, but these studs are quite interesting because there are two layers of jewels, giving the earrings a chunky, 3D appearance. I was a bit on the fence when buying this pair because circular studs are not my preference, but I wanted to try these out. They really are quite beautiful though. Round crystal studs might sound boring and basic, but the 3D effect from the layers makes these stand out. Of course, I got more moon motif earrings. I was also a bit on the fence about these since they are circular studs, but I could not pass up this gorgeous celestial design. These are quite similar to the Wingbling moon earrings (first slide), but the jewel details are different. The Wingbling ones have both pearl and crystal clusters, whereas this one from Wanna Be Stones are made of star-shaped crystals. Another pair I was unsure about since these are quite the statement earrings. I’m not a big fan of large, hoop-style earrings that are parallel to the face on myself, but I was curious to try these out. Just a cute pair of dangle earrings with floral and butterfly motifs. Love the small hoops. I love asymmetrical dangle earrings. I think they can be very elegant if done right. I like the small cross-star details as well as the bead and pearl asymmetry of these. While I already have square crystal drop earrings in my collection, these provide a fun twist with the purple gem accents. A simple yet elegant pair of matching crystal drop earrings. I feel like one can never have too many of these. They are simple, but the crystals provide just enough bling to elevate the look. These look slightly different from what I imagined they would look like based off the photos online, but I think they could be fun paired with the right outfit. These were also ones that looked a little different in person from what I imagined they would be based on the online photos. These are a bit chunky for my own tastes, but I’m sure I can a use for these. These earrings are super long. Much longer than I was expecting, but I still think they are unique and interesting. The reversed diamond crystal is translucent, so the thick metal backing does peek through. I’m not the biggest fan of that look, but the overall design is still fun. The other crystals have some color and iridescence, making this pair just something really different from other designs. Next up, I picked up a pair of very simple, chain drop earrings. Again, much longer than I was expecting, so I’m not sure how often I’ll wear these, but I don’t think I won’t wear them. Might be cute with a casual white tee, blue jeans, black leather jacket look. Lastly, Wanna Be Stones sent me a pack of assorted white pearl studs along with some colorful bobby pins and butterfly earring backs (not pictured) as a thank you gift for buying so many earrings. I thought that was super sweet of them. It’s always nice to have basic studs in your collection since they’re easy to pair with. I am happy that I have three different sizes to choose from now.
