My Nighttime Skincare Routine + Products that Completely Removed Texture on My Skin

A while back, I shared that I’ve been really taking care of my skin lately since I’ve been in quarantine with nothing else to do. Now, here I am with a face that’s never been smoother in the last 10+ years. I highly recommend you take a look at my hydrating vs. moisturizing post as that is the basis for how I achieved the skin I have now.

First things first, and that’s cleanser. I’ve been using Shingmulnara’s Jeju Sparkling Water Deep Cleansing Foam. This jumbo tube give you a whopping 300 mL of product at an affordable price. The Jeju Sparkling Water Deep Cleansing Foam as a light scent, isn’t harsh on the skin, doesn’t leave any residue, and includes little blue capsules that burst with use. This is my second tube, and I’ve already bought another one as backup.

I follow up using either the Shingmunara Jeju Sparkling Water Deep Peeling Pad or Lacvert Goodbye Pore Toner. I only use the peeling pads to exfoliate about once a week or as needed since they are a little too strong for daily use. I also use a couple essences that I will go into further detail in a bit that also help exfoliate, which is why I find that I only need to use the peeling pad once in a while. The Lacvert Toner is just what I happen to have on hand at the moment since I’m trying to use up my skincare stash before I move to Japan in a few months.

After cleansing, exfoliating, and toning, I use the Caudalie Beauty Elixir to add some hydration to the face and prep it for additional products. When I was younger, I absolutely hated the scent of this product, but as an adult, I think it’s quite invigorating. This product smells of strong herbs, so just be warned that the scent may not be for everybody.

I mentioned earlier that I use other products to help exfoliate, which is why I only use the peeling pads once in a while. The two products that I use are COSRX’s AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid and BHA Blackhead Power Liquid. I typically apply the AHA first and then the BHA, but sometimes I get lazy and just pump some of each in the palm of my hand, mix, and apply together. Since I have oily skin, I’m extremely prone to whiteheads and blackheads, so these products have been super helpful. Using these on a nightly basis has definitely helped improve my skin texture.

Next, I use the Dewytree Miracle Pore Minimizing Serum. This serum comes out as a thick gel, but blends out into a watery substance. This product does a nice job of minimizing the appearance of pores and adds some hydration as well.

Now, I go into moisturizing. I start my moisturizing process using the Lirikos Marine Energy Iced Time Firming Oil Ampoule. I find that this ampoule absorbs into the skin well and serves as a nice transition into a facial oil. Although it is an oil ampoule, it doesn’t feel too oily on the face after patting it in, which is why I really like this product.

I follow up the ampoule step using Bio-Oil. This oil has a wonderfully invigorating scent that makes me happy to use it.

Last but not least, I finish my nightly skincare routine with some creams. Sometimes, I use an eye cream all over the face instead of just around the eyes if my skin needs a little extra moisture. I then finish my skincare routine using a face cream to lock in all the products. I’ve been using the Skinfood Royal Honey Essential Queen’s Night Cream, and I really love this face cream. It does an excellent job of locking everything in, and I’ll definitely be repurchasing this soon!

If I had to recommend only a few products from this post, I would recommend getting the COSRX AHA7 Whitehead and BHA Blackhead Power Liquids and the Skinfood Royal Honey Queen’s Night Cream. Maybe the Shingmulnara Jeju Sparkling Water Deep Peeling Pad as well. If you do end up trying these, let me know what you think! Wishing you all the very best on your skincare journey!
