Hello, friends! How has your December been so far? We’re already a week into December, but it still hasn’t hit me that it’s already the last month of the year. There’s only two and a half weeks left until Christmas, and I still feel like Thanksgiving was just the other day! Anyways, the weather’s getting colder, and I just felt like having a relaxing bath, so I made a trip to Lush a few weeks ago to pick up a couple bath bombs. It was my second time shopping at Lush. I’ve only ever tried the Twilight bath bomb before. I really enjoyed it, so I wanted to try out some other Lush bath products. I picked up seven products including some holiday ones.
I’ve never tried any products from the Lush holiday collection, so I made sure to pick some up. I’ll be sharing the descriptions of each product taken straight from Lush’s website below its respective picture.
Ever wonder what bathing in deep space would be like? Invite the cosmos into your tub with this interstellar bomb. An awesome mix of refreshing peppermint and neon colors will send your mood rocketing, while popping candy takes you on a trip around the Milky Way. Before you leap too far, rogue layers of vetivert and cedarwood bring you back to earth.
When the cherry blossoms burst forth in springtime in Japan, it’s tradition to take a picnic to the park and enjoy the gorgeous, fragrant display. We’ve recreated this experience for your tub—simply lie back in Sakura’s serene waters while the delicate scents of mimosa and jasmine wash over you. The elegant embrace of fine sea salt and softening baking soda softens skin and carries your troubles away like cherry blossoms on the breeze.
Rum yourself a bath with this rich, sweet and spicy bubbler that’s the perfect antidote to the hectic holiday season. Skin is gently softened with shea and cocoa butters, while intoxicating notes of clove, ylang ylang and gardenia add a fragrant, festive touch. If you love it, don’t delay—this perennial punch bowl favorite evaporates in the new year.
Unleash some fire and bathe in a whirlpool of magnificently vibrant, sizzling color and a spectacular explosion of sights, sounds and scents. Inhale the refreshing citrusy scent of lemon and bergamot and watch as this bomb fizzes, crackles and ends with a glittery golden surprise. Drop one of these in the bath for a serious wake-up call on groggy mornings or before an evening out.
If all the festive cheer has become a bit too intense, this jolly soul will chill you right out. Toss him into your tub and watch as he melts into a rainbow of color. Then let the dreamy fragrance of cedarwood and lavender oil turn your holiday stress into perfect bliss. The land of nod is not far off now.
Are you waning or waxing? This double-sided bomb balances things out with a blend of blue and pink that can be used separately or together. Moisturizing carrageenan extract soothes and hydrates dry skin, while Brazilian orange oil tones and brightens. Let your half moons dance and fizz across the surface of the water as they swirl to form one beautiful purple hue.
Fancy an uplifting cocktail? Zesty cognac and lime oils get this bath party started with mood-boosting scents, while sweet orange oil refreshes your senses. In the water, Golden Wonder’s pretty packaging unwraps itself to reveal a glittering golden luster and sparkling turquoise explosion. Don’t wait for the stroke of midnight to bathe yourself in festive luxury—this gorgeous gift can be enjoyed all holiday long.
Those are all the things I bought at Lush! So far, I’ve used the Sakura bath bomb and some of the Yog Nog bubble bar, and while I thought the Sakura bath bomb was calming and pleasant and the Yog Nog bubble bar smells great (albeit it gives the water a nuclear yellow color — not exactly my first thought when I think of “holiday”), I’m still waiting for the one that gives just that over-the-top bath experience spectacular. Based on the descriptions, I’m most excited about Dragon’s Egg.
If you’re very sensitive to scents but curious about the hype around Lush bath bombs, I’d say give these a try since my mom is the same way. She does not like strong scents because they give her a headache (she cannot stay in a Bath & Body Works store for too long), but she seemed to like these the last time I bought her some (you can read what I bought last time here!). In fact, she used all of them except for the one Twilight bath bomb I saved for myself. There were some stronger scented ones in store that I did not buy, but there are also some lighter ones. The Lush employees are always super friendly and helpful, so I’m sure they would be happy to help find you one that works for you!
Thank you so much for reading today’s post! I’ll be posting every day until the 25th of this month, so stay tuned for tomorrow’s post!
Until next time,
