Hello, friends! Welcome back to another review and swatches post! Yesterday, I shared the Huda Beauty Warm Brown Obsessions palette, and today, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions Palette.
As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I love the packaging of this palette. I think it’s very sleek and compact, making it the perfect travel palette size. It features cardboard packaging and a mirror inside.
The shadows in this palette have good pigmentation, and just like the warm brown palette, the color story leans quite sultry. This palette, however, includes a total of three shimmer shades whereas the warm brown only has one. Overall, I like the colors in the warm brown palette better, but I love how this mauve palette includes a light shimmer shade for a nice inner corner highlight. The shimmers may look chunky in the pan, but don’t let the pictures fool you. The shimmers in this palette are incredibly smooth.
I think this palette would be great for a Valentine’s Day look or a date night since the colors are all very romantic. The colors are absolutely beautiful, and the shimmers blend well for a diffused look. It’s not an everyday palette for me just because the color story leans very rich red and purple, but it’s extremely stunning, that’s for sure. No regrets picking this bad boy up.
