Hello! In this post, I’ll be sharing with you a delicious dessert that I’ve been enjoying almost daily this summer season. There are so many mouthwatering ripe fruits this season, and this quick and easy recipe will incorporate some of them. You can customize this recipe to fit your tastes by subbing in and adding whatever fruits you favor and such. I’ll share with you one of the ways I’ve been enjoying it.
For this recipe, you will need:- Greek yogurt
- Fruits
- Honey
- Nuts
Try to use all organic products whenever possible, including the Greek yogurt.
First, pour a couple spoonfuls of Greek yogurt into a bowl. Here I am using organic whole milk Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt contains a lot of protein so it will fill you up fast even with a small portion. Plus, we’ll be adding toppings!
Then, wash your fruits and cut them if necessary. I’m using berries here, but I’ve also tried this recipe using bananas, mangos, kiwis, etc. Dry off the excess water using a paper towel.
Next, place your berries into the bowl with the Greek yogurt.
Here I have strawberries, raspberries, golden raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries. Delicious!
Then, pour in a spoonful of raw honey. This will sweeten the Greek yogurt and eliminate the sourness of it without adding processed sugar. Here I am using raw white gold honey from Canada. I generally don’t like the taste of honey, but I love the taste of this white gold honey. The taste is very different and more refined. I love adding this!
Last but not least, add some unsalted nuts to the mix and you’re good to go! Here I have almonds, cashews, and pecans. I like to mix everything together and then eat!
Tips and variations:
- You can wrap your yogurt bowl in plastic wrap and place it in the freezer for an hour or two. This will slightly freeze the yogurt without completely freezing the fruits. The fruits become super cold too so it’s a great way to cool down! The honey also hardens and it’s delicious!
- Alternatively, you can opt to freeze the yogurt first and add the toppings afterwards.
I’m sure you already know this, but don’t eat anything you’re allergic to. I hope you enjoy this simple yet delicious recipe, and if you do try it out, I’d love to see your variations on this! Happy eating!
