“An intensive sheet mask that works to correct pigmentation, boost radiance, and deeply hydrate for a brighter, even toned complexion.”
This sheet mask is free of seven parabens, eleven harmful substances, cruelty, animal origin ingredient, and artificial colorant. It’s also made using non-chlorine-bleached, 100% pure cotton sheet. Love that!
One thing that raises some flags for me, however, is that some of the text on the back of the packaging don’t match the information Haruharu has listed on their website.
I’m mainly referring to where it says “key beneficial ingredient” on the back of the packaging. On the packaging, it lists niacinamide and adenosine as the two key ingredients. On the brand’s website, however, fermented maqui berry and capsicum annuum fruit extract are listed, which makes more sense given that this product is called the “Maqui Berry Anti-Oxidant Mask.”
It looks like it’s just a typo, but it makes you wonder about the brand’s quality control and consistency.
Some other, positive things I learned from the website are that this product’s ingredients are at least 95% of natural origin. This ask also promotes regeneration, anti-inflammatory responses, and targeting a variety of skin imperfections. The anti-oxidants will help turn back your skin’s age.
If you look closely, there are tiny brown specks on the sheet. As mentioned above, this sheet is made from non-chlorine-bleached cotton which naturally has these brown specks. I found this mask to be very comfortable and breathable. I really enjoyed how light it felt on the face.
Now, this product does have a scent. It kind of smells like perm solution without all the harsh chemical fumes. I know that sounds bad, but it doesn’t smell bad at all. It’s super light, and I didn’t even detect it once on the face.
The mask isn’t cooling; I kept it in the fridge until us,. but it went back to room temperature quickly. The essence is super watery, and there is a generous amount inside the packaging. It felt hydrating and absorbed completely into the skin. I just love a water-based sheet mask that completely absorbs into the skin; I’m a huge fan of hydrating sheet masks. Overall, I’m happy with this one!
