Freeman Feeling Beautiful Hydrating Glacial Water + Pink Peony Gel Cream Mask Review

You should really check out this review before buying this product.

Freeman says to “drench your skin and protect from environmental pollutants with this lightweight, leave-on gel cream facial mask. Refreshing Glacier Water replenishes dry skin while soothing Pink Peony, the ‘queen of flowers,’ delicately calms for petal-soft skin.  Perfect for all skin types; no need to rinse.” Freeman recommends this product be used twice a week or as often as needed.

The product inside has a light blue tint which gives it sort of a cooling appearance. It does have a scent. I’m not sure exactly how to describe it, but an artificial soapy scent is what comes to mind. Not bad by any means, just not a scent I would enjoy.

As soon as I put this on my face, both my skin and eyes started to burn. After a couple minutes, the burning sensation in my eyes stopped, but my skin still burned. Eventually, that stopped as well but was replaced by an intense cooling sensation. That, too, eventually went away at around the 15-20 minute mark. After allowing some time for the gel mask to sink in, there was a greasy layer with the texture of dry oil left.

I don’t recommend this mask based on my experience with it. It was painful to use, and I feel that it did more damage than good. Not only did it cause a huge breakout on my cheek as well as smaller bumps near the mouth area, my face felt very greasy afterwards as it didn’t completely absorb into the skin. I don’t really see how this product can be good for my skin, especially when it also specifically says to avoid the hairline and is recommended to use only twice a week. I can only imagine that these are indications of how strong this product is. While I love and appreciate a product that is strong enough to give visible results with one use, this product is just downright painful and doesn’t even provide good results to boot. It’s a definite pass for me.
