Etude House 0.2mm Therapy Air Mask Pearl Review

Hello, friends! I apologize for the very late Face Mask Friday post; however, it is here nonetheless. I bring you the Etude House 0.2mm Therapy Air Mask featuring pearl, which is an ingredient know for providing radiance to the skin. This 20ml “daily low-irritant mask [is] made of breathable 0.2mm air sheet” that utilizes an ampoule-type essence to “effectively deliver 7-free essence to your skin.” It contains “luminous pearl and niacinamide, a skin whitening agent, [that] makes dull skin look bright and radiant.” I actually had a great experience with this mask, which I will be discussing why below.

When I opened the package, a light lemony scent wafted in the air. It was a pleasant, clean scent that did not linger when I applied it on the face. My first thought when I took the sheet out was “are you kidding me? Why is this so small?” I immediately went to take a picture because I was taken aback by how small it was. I realized later that it’s small because it’s a 0.2mm sheet mask, meaning it is much thinner than the typical sheet mask. Although folded small, it unfolds into a normal sized sheet mask that adheres comfortably to the skin. It did not feel heavy, and there was minimal overlapping. The cutout could have been better, but it was definitely one of the better masks I’ve seen in my years. All in all, I really like this 0.2mm air mask that Etude House has come out with!

Pre-mask. Chemical peel done yesterday, washed face with Senka Perfect Whip, and toned with Nacific Fresh Herb Origin Toner

Even though I did not put this mask in the fridge, it felt so cool and refreshing as if I did! I think this has got to be one of the coolest masks temperaoyture-wise that I’ve ever tried. I absolutely loved it. It was such a nice, relaxing experience. There was no stinging or anything, which gives credit to its low-irritant claim.

You can barely tell the mask in on my face! It’s so thin, and the cutout is pretty good!

After use, I did feel as though my skin was rejuvenated and brightened. The ampoule-type essence very quickly absorbs into the skin, providing a tacky base that I would feel comfortable applying foundation over. After about ten to fifteen minutes, the essence completely absorbed into the skin along with the tacky base, so this mask can be used before makeup whichever way you like – tacky base or smooth base. I really enjoyed the The Face Shop Real Nature Calendula sheet mask last week, and this is right up there as a contender! I can’t speak for the rest of the 0.2mm Therapy Air Mask line just yet, but this pearl one is just so good.
