Elizavecca Milky Piggy Blackhead Solution 3 Step Review

Hello, everybody! I thought I would switch things up a bit and do a review of the Elizavecca Milky Piggy Blackhead Solution 3 Step instead of the standard sheet mask around here. I got this as part of a Memebox order a long time, so I thought it was time to try it out! Here’s a breakdown of my experience:

The package is perforated so you can easily tear the three steps into individuals

Here is a picture of my nose after washing my face using a foam cleanser. I have large pores and quite a bit of blackheads as I’ve been resisting extracting them for a while now in order to do this review.

The first step is a nose strip saturated in a solution targeted to open up the pores. I couldn’t pinpoint what the solution’s scent reminded me of, but it smelled so good! Minty, definitely,  but with something else as well. Floral, maybe?

The instructions say to leave on for 10 to 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, the nose pore strip had dried out, indicating that the solution seeped into my pores.

Post step one

Next is step two. Step two is the classic nose strip designed to pull out the gunk inside pores.

The adhesive side is indicated in pink.

I was pleasantly surprised at how this pore strip adhered to my nose. Usually, pore strips overlap on my nose, causing little pockets where the pore strip is not attached to the nose. However, this was easily molded around the sides and tip. The sides of the pore strip are a little shorter than standard sizes, but I did not think it was too big of a deal.

You can see some hair and gunk pulled out by the strip.

Unfortunately, I made the mistake of not wetting my nose enough before applying step two, which is why I think the pore strip did not work as well as I had hoped. I had already attached the strip onto my nose so it was too late to fix that. Although step two is where the magic is supposed to happen, step three took the cake for me.

There was so much solution inside step three that product started to drip down as soon as I opened it.

Step three is the bio-cellulose sheet that is supposed to shrink your pores after blackhead extraction. This nose strip felt interesting. It reminded me of gelatin. It took some time getting used to putting it on , but I got it on the third try. You can adjust the position of this once it is on your face and it will still stick.

Make sure to remove the front and back coverings for step three. The part you put on your face is the sheet in the middle.

This is how it looks after 15 minutes. I’ve heard some people say that step three is very cumbersome to use because it keeps slipping off. I did not have that problem whatsoever. I talked, made facial expressions, and even pointed by nose parallel to the ground while trying to fix my computer that just so happened to stop working. The bio-cellulose sheet did not budge at all. However, if you do try this product out and have this problem, you can simply lay down in bed while doing this step to prevent it from sliding off.

I couldn’t take a picture of the sheet before use because there was so much solution dripping on it, but here it is after 15 minutes of use. You may be able to tell what I mean by this reminding me of gelatin from the picture above. It is thick and squishy.

There isn’t too much of a different here because I messed up during step two by not using sufficient water, but let me tell you, if I had done that step properly, I expect to see a big difference in the before and after photos. Step three really shrunk my pores. Of course, because the blackheads were not properly removed due to user error, they are still visible even after step three, but if all steps were done correctly, the results would have been great. My pores are so small after step three!

I don’t have another one of this product to show you again, but I do have the Holika Holika Pig-Nose Clear Blackhead 3-Step Kit, which is what I’m assuming Elizavecca took inspiration from. The Holika Holika Pig-Nose Clear cleansing foam is one of my top favorite face cleansers, so I look forward to writing up a review of the pore strips, in which I will use sufficient water to wet my nose.

Thanks for reading about my experience using the Elizavecca Milky Piggy Blackhead Solution 3 Step! I hope you enjoyed it, and until next time,
