Elizavecca Hell-Pore Clean Up Mask Review

Happy Face Mask Friday, everyone! It’s the first Face Mask Friday of 2017! To kick the series off for the new year, I thought I would review the Hell-Pore Clean Up Mask from Elizavecca’s Milky Piggy line. I purchased this face mask several months ago but never really had the chance to sit down and try it out. I’ve watched a few reviews of this mask on YouTube, and many people have said that this mask really pulls out impurities inside the pores so I have high hopes for this mask. Well, let’s get started, shall we?

Here is what the packaging looks like for the mask. It’s got the iconic Elizavecca milky piggy gracing the front. This mask comes in a squeeze tube, making it easy to remove the product from its packaging.

Here is a picture of my face freshly cleansed before applying the mask.

As you can see in the picture above, I have large pores around the nose and cheek area. I am generally a combination to oily skin type, but the winter season has caused my skin to have a few dry patches, specifically around the mouth area.

This mask is light gray in color with minuscule flecks of a darker gray. It almost looks grainy, but this mask is completely smooth in texture.

Using my finger, I spread the mask all over my face, avoiding the skin around the eyes and hairline. This mask is a peel-off mask so you’ll want to be careful with where you are placing this mask as it will pull out your hair. A simple tip I have for you in case you accidentally get peel-off mask on your hairline is to just leave the mask in your hair as you peel off the rest of the mask and just wash it off later. Another note on the Elizavecca Hell-Pore Clean Up Mask is that it feels cool and refreshing once applied.

Now, it may look like I’m angry in the picture above, but I can assure you that I’m not. The mask has completely dried up, tightening the skin and making it hard to create facial expressions.

As you can see, the mask dries to a satin-sheen finish and really emphasizes pores, bumps, and facial hair.

Let’s get this mask off of me so I can smile again!

I found that this mask peels off easily with most of the mask coming off in one piece.

Now, I must warn you that I have included close-up pictures of the underside of the mask. If you’re someone who is quite squeamish when it comes to looking at the aftermath of pore strips, I would highly advise you to skip the next two pictures.

As you can see, the mask pulls out a lot of thin facial hair and some of the impurities clogging up the pores as well.

Okay, end of mask close-ups. You can look now!

A part of the mask did stay on, but it did a pretty great job of peeling off in one go, don’t you agree?

Here is my face after washing off the rest of the mask using water. Can you see a difference? To be completely honest, I was a little underwhelmed with the results. The reviews that I saw claimed that this mask stood up to its name “Hell-Pore.” I had heard that this mask would hurt when peeling off but, in return, would pull out all the gunk from deep within the pores. As you can see from the pictures above, it pulled out a lot of tiny facial hair, but I didn’t think peeling off the mask hurt. If you are hoping this mask will serve similarly to a waxing strip for peach fuzz, it will remove thin hair but not thick hairs. Also, it didn’t necessarily pull out all the gunk from my pores either. Some, but not all. However, that’s not to say that this product is bad. I think that with continued use it will help remove the impurities deeply rooted in my pores. If anything, it will at least pull out the tiny facial hairs, creating a smooth canvas for makeup application. If my opinion on this product changes, I’ll definitely keep you all posted!
