Can you believe it? It’s the final monthly favorites post for the year of 2016! Last month, I didn’t have too many favorites to share with you all, but I promised that I would have a lot more to share for December. Shall we get started?
With December being the month of Christmas festivities, I like to call it peppermint season, and what better way to celebrate peppermint season than with some sweet, peppermint scented bath products? I’m sure many of you have already guessed it: Twisted Peppermint from Bath & Body Works! Out of the many products within their Twisted Peppermint line, I used the shower gel the most during the past month. I just absolutely adore the scent, and if you’re an avid fan of peppermint scents like me, definitely check this out!
Another favorite of mine this month related to peppermint is the Trader Joe’s Peppermint Pretzel Slims. I actually picked this up after Jaclyn Hill mentioned this in one of her favorites videos. I was shopping at Trader Joe’s with my mom when I saw this and remembered Jaclyn Hill obsessing over it. I’m so glad I picked it up and tried it because these pretzels are so delicious! Basically, they are thin salted pretzels covered in white chocolate and sprinkled with peppermint candy pieces. This sweet and salty combination with a hint of peppermint is très délicieux!
In my November favorites post, I mentioned a flannel I had been loving from American Eagle. I actually bought a few more in different colors that month and had been waiting to wear them in the winter. These flannels are so soft and comfortable; and I just can’t stop wearing them!
If you’ve been following me on my Face Mask Friday series, which is a series of face mask reviews I post on Fridays, you’ll know that I had been battling texture on my skin. A product that I have had for a few months but never opened until recently is the Glacial Clay Facial Mask from Skin&Lab. Oh my goodness, this mask is everything. After one use, my skin was smooth, my large pores shrunken, and face radiant. I am absolutely obsessed with this mask! I’ll be doing a review on this mask soon so click the “follow” button as you won’t want to miss it!
Another beauty product I had been loving in the month of December is Nature Republic’s Argan Essential Deep Care Hair Pack. If you read my post about my 2017 resolutions, you might remember that one item on my checklist is to donate my hair this year. I figured it would be a good idea to donate my hair in the best condition that it can be in, so I used this hair pack a lot. If you don’t know what this is, a hair pack is basically a deep conditioning hair mask. This hair mask’s scent is not overwhelming yet still strong, but it is quite rich and pleasant so I enjoyed it.
The last beauty product I have to share with you all is the Tonymoly Bamboo Clean Water Cleansing Gel Foam. This cleanser made my skin feel clean without feeling stripped, and for that reason, I think those of you with dry skin will really like this. I think this is also great for those of you with oilier skin as well for the same reason as often times our skin overcompensates on oil production because of the amount we remove. This cleanser has a scent that is reminiscent of Bath & Body Works Dancing Waters, which is a light, refreshing scent that almost smells of a diluted, slightly feminine cologne. The scent transforms as it foams up into a generic bar soap scent, but as you wash your face with it, it goes back to the initial scent. It’s quite interesting as this scent transformation has happened each time I’ve used it. If you’re turned off by the cologne scent, don’t worry! It’s very light to almost undetectable! I’ve really enjoyed using this light cleanser as a great pick-me-up!
A phone game I was madly addicted to during the month of December was Candy Crush Jelly. I had put this game down for a while, but I recently picked it back up again, which probably wasn’t the best idea as December was finals month. It is the only game I’ve been playing on my phone since. I’m currently at level 523. Crazy, right?
Well, that’s all the favorites I have for you guys today! Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoyed it! If you feel so inclined, I would appreciate it immensely if you clicked the “like” and “follow” button. Feel free to leave a comment as well! Have you also loved or are currently loving these any of things? If you haven’t, are you interested in trying any of these? Let me know!
Stay safe, and have a great night, everyone!
