All I can say is that I’ve never encountered a sheet mask with this issue.
Burt’s Bees’ website says the following about this product: “give your skin the gift of long lasting hydration with Burt’s Bees® Hydrating Sheet Masks. These masks are infused with clary sage to instantly moisturize, balance PH and improve the texture of your skin. Extracts from plants and flowers help to promote healthy skin and effectively keeps the skin hydrated, revitalized, and radiant. They are specially formulated to leave your skin feeling soft and supple. Hydrating masks are easy to use, simply lift the mask from the pouch, apply mask to clean skin, wait 5 minutes and gently remove. Give your skin the best nature has to offer with Burt’s Bees®.”
What I found interesting about this sheet mask is that the instructions say to only leave on for five minutes. I find most sheet masks recommend a range from ten to twenty minutes.
My immediate observation was that this embossed sheet does not hold onto the essence well. The sheet itself is rough and dry, which makes it not stick well to the face. Since the sheet doesn’t have much essence absorbed, it’s not really benefiting the skin. Rather, the dry sheet can cause negative effects by causing the skin to be dehydrated if left on for a long period of time. Quite ironic as this is supposed to be a hydrating sheet mask.
The sheet is just too incompatible with the essence, making this sheet mask pretty much unusable. You could still apply the essence by itself, but I don’t think it’s worth it. Unfortunately, this product just doesn’t make the cut.
