  1. I’m not sold on this palette – I just think Modern Renaissance was so brilliant they had a lot to live up to & for me it isn’t as good! I’m really looking forward to seeing the looks you create with it xx

    • I definitely see where you are coming from! Warm red tones and gold was definitely a huge trend in recent years, and Modern Renaissance made a lot of sense in terms of being a palette that many people could easily use for daily looks yet was versatile enough to pull off full-glam. Subculture strays away from being an everyday palette for most people for sure. I completely see where you are coming from! I also think I won’t use the Subculture palette as much as Modern Renaissance just because of the bold color variety!😅

      • Yeah exactly – I just think every shade in MR you can use, with so many differing variations and in Subculture there’s only a few you can use often, not everyone is skilled enough to make the other colours work. X

        • For sure. I found that if I overblend or overlap the wrong colors I end up with just a black color, so I’m definitely going to have to practice a lot with this palette!

    • Thank you so much! I definitely think it’s a fun palette to work with and the most pigmented eyeshadows I’ve ever come across! They’re almost like pressed pigments 😄😄
